DuringapressconferenceheldinApril,theChinaCouncilforthePromotionofInternationalTradesaiditwillmakemovestofacilitateimportsandexportsinthecomingthreeyears.Thecouncilsaiditwillhelpabout100countriesandregionstopromoteupto10,000commoditiesinChina,especiallyadvancedtechnicalequipment,keycomponents,andhighqualityconsumergoods.
Meanwhile,thecouncilwillorganizeChinesedelegationstogoabroadtomakecollectivepurchasesandholdmeetingsforentrepreneursbothathomeandabroad.ItwillalsoholdactivitiestorecommendChinesebrandsandservicesabroad,whilesolicitingforeigninvestment.
Chinaearlierunveiledanumberoflandmarkmeasurestobetakenthisyeartosignificantlybroadenmarketaccess,fromloweringimporttariffsforvehiclestoopeningupthefinancialsector.
Thecountry鈥檚foreigntradehasbecomemorebalancedsincethestartofthisyear,withimportgrowthoutpacingthatofexportsandthetradesurplusnarrowingby21.8percentinthefirstquarterofthisyear.
InternetCopyrightIndustryMaintainsRapidGrowth
ThemarketscaleofChina鈥檚InternetcopyrightindustryreachedRMB636.5billion(aboutUS$100.3billion)in2017,increasing27.2percentfromthepreviousyear,accordingtoareportontheindustryreleasedbytheNationalCopyrightAdministrationinApril.
Thedifferentsectorsoftheindustryhaveallseenincreasingusernumbersandmarketgrowth.Themarketforpay-per-viewvideosreachedRMB21.8billionin2017andisexpectedtomaintaina60percentyear-onyearincreaseinthenexttwoyears,accordingtothereport.
Thedigitalreadingmarketachievedayear-on-yeargrowthof31.1percentin2017.Digitalreadingplatformsbecamepopular,thuscultivatingmoreuserswhopreferonlinereading.AccordingtoareportjointlyreleasedbyChineseonlinebookretailerDangdangandbigdataanalysisserviceproviderAnalysys,thetradevolumeofChina鈥檚e-bookmarketisexpectedtoreachRMB33.5billion(aboutUS$5.34billion)by2020.Themarketisexpectedtoseeanaverageannualgrowthof29.8percentinthenextthreeyears.
Theonlinemusicmarketgrewby22percentyear-on-yeartoRMB17.5billion,andthenumberoflivestreamingusersreached422million,andthelivestreamingmarkettotalednearlyRMB40billion.

TheChinesemainlandwillremaintheworld鈥檚largestmobileappmarketin2022.Chinaalreadystandsabovetherestoftheworldintermsofbothdownloadsandconsumerspending,andin2022itwillcontinuetobeadominantforceintheglobalappeconomy,accordingtoareportreleasedbyglobalappdataproviderAppAnnieinMay.
SpendingonmobileappscouldreachUS$62.4billionin2022ontheChinesemainland,morethandoublethesumregisteredin2017.TheChinesemainlandcouldmakeupabout40percentofthetotalglobalspendingonappsin2022.Meanwhile,theChinesemainlandwillsee119.5billiondownloadsofappsin2022.ConsumerspendinginappstoresisforecasttopasstheUS$100billionmarkin2018,andexpectedtoexceedUS$156.5billionby2022.
